Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

No. TheAccountingDr focuses on bookkeeping, reconciliations, financial reporting, cleanup work, inventory and product-sales bookkeeping, and Xero support. Services outside that scope are intentionally referred to qualified professionals.
Does the client remain our firm’s client?
Yes. The bookkeeping engagement does not replace or interfere with the client’s existing tax, assurance, legal, payroll, advisory, banking, or consulting relationships.
Can you communicate directly with our firm?
Yes. With the client’s authorization, I can coordinate regarding financial reports, requested documentation, adjusting entries, and bookkeeping questions.
Do you work only with local clients?
No. TheAccountingDr is a virtual bookkeeping practice based in Raleigh, North Carolina, and can serve clients throughout North Carolina and nationwide.
Is a formal referral agreement required?
Not necessarily. The relationship may begin with an informal introduction and develop naturally. A more structured arrangement can be discussed if it becomes beneficial to both parties.
Do you pay or require referral fees?
The proposed relationship is based on professional collaboration and serving clients well rather than exchanging referral fees. Each professional independently evaluates, contracts with, and bills their own clients.
