Professional Background
I am a tenured accounting professor with more than 20 years of experience teaching financial accounting, managerial accounting, and related subjects in both traditional and online learning environments.
During my academic career, I have taught at multiple institutions, including the University of Southern Indiana, Washington State University, Louisiana State University, and the University of North Carolina Wilmington.
I also served as an Assistant State Auditor with the North Carolina Office of the State Auditor. That experience strengthened my commitment to accuracy, accountability, responsible stewardship, and the protection of financial resources.
I am the founder of TheAccountingDr, a Raleigh-based virtual bookkeeping practice serving clients throughout North Carolina and nationwide.
